Welcome to the Galway Cycle 2010

On the last weekend of every March, over 200 intrepid cyclists and collectors depart at 6am from the National University of Ireland (NUIM) grounds with the ambitious aim of raising money for a worthy cause. The event started by a small group of 10 student cyclists in 23 years ago has now grown into a yearly adventure for approximately 120 cyclists, 100 more collectors, 4 buses, 6 vans, 2 Gardaí and a host of amazed and generous passers-by.

Originally an organisation for Maynooth students only, the cyclist and collector ranks have grown in both size and variety, with a large number of alumni, friends, family, and relations now taking part. The sense of achievement, friendship, and general craic that is experienced by everyone involved in the cycle has to be felt to be believed. So spread the word, and let's make this year the biggest ever!

The Galway Cycle 2010 is proud to raise money for The National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI) this year.
