Galway Cycle 2021
GC 2021 will take place from April 2nd to 5th 2021.
For 2021, the selected Galway Cycle charity partner is Rosabel’s Rooms programme in partnership with the Irish Hospice Foundation.
Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Maynooth Students for Charity are putting a new spin Galway Cycle for 2021, in the form of the 400 | 40 | 4.
You may understandably ask “What is the 400 | 40 | 4?”, and put simply, since the Government restrictions for COVID-19 preclude organising a “traditional” Galway Cycle event, the committee are adapting and instead offering an event where participants complete any one of the following activities over the course of the 2nd to the 5th of April:
Hence the name “400 | 40 | 4”. It is up to each participant how they complete their chosen event over the course of the weekend – if you’re up to a 400km cycle or a 40km run in a single day, then more power to you, but you may prefer to break it up and complete the cumulative distance at your own pace over the course of some or all of the 4 days.
